Model solutions of the equations of motion of rolling stock chassis under kinematic excitation with consideration of the effect of asymmetry

Abstract
The equations of motion for a model of a rolling stock chassis with single or multiple primary linear suspension using coil springs are derived. The simplest computational model of a chassis composed of two-axle bogies with single primary suspension and single vehicle body suspension is used. The asymmetry of the spring stiffness parameters and their geometric arrangement and the asymmetric weight distribution of the vehicle body are considered. The system has nine degrees of freedom.
