Oil from fruit seeds is used more and more often in the food industry, including fodder and pharmaceutical, e.g. raspberry seeds. Also, from 2018, insect-derived animal protein may be added to feed. Both fruit stones and feed additives in the form of insects (house crickets) in order to extend the use-by date (usefulness) must first be dried. In order to conduct research on the drying process of the indicated raw materials, a laboratory scale and strength analysis of the main frame was undertaken in this work. The 3D CAD design of the dryer was made in the Autodesk Inventor program, while the strength and buckling analysis was made in the NX Siemens program. The designed pulse-fluid dryer, dedicated to laboratory tests, meets all the design assumptions.
