Abstract
The traffic situation in cities and on roads in Slovakia is getting more complicated every day. There are more and more cars and trucks on the road. To overcome this situation, traffic engineers must adopt innovative traffic management. All these measures are implemented through the study and analysis of traffic trends related to various parameters such as travel time, traffic flow, occupancy and accurate real-time information. Nowadays, however, environmental pollution is also a very important factor. Key success factors in logistics are innovation, digitization, sustainability and the use of new technologies in daily operations to further reduce CO2 emissions. In this paper, we first mathematically describe a model of an all-electric vehicle to investigate energy flow during driving and regeneration. Then we want to point out that the transport industry is moving towards electric trucks in order to improve the efficiency of not only the delivery of goods but also transport in general. The evolution of batteries and a new generation of engines could support the use of electric vehicles in transport logistics. The goal is also to develop the algorithmic foundations of economic and mathematical modeling of logistics networks based on advanced technologies provided by the digitization process.
