Abstract
About 400 million tons of various types of potatoes are harvested annually in the world. Quantitatively, it is the fourth crop in the world, after wheat, rice, and corn, that provides the population and animals with nutrients. When loading potatoes, belt conveyors are often used, the position and angle of which have to be changed many times. To indicate the most correct parameters of potato loading, i.e., belt speed, belt inclination angle, simulation tests of loading potatoes onto an agricultural trailer were undertaken. This work included an analysis of the solutions available for potato conveyor belts, as well as an analysis of works related to the simulation of the transport of other vegetables. The test results allowed us to indicate the most appropriate technical parameters when loading potatoes.
