Selection of parameters of the hydrogen power system for a passenger rail vehicle

Abstract


The article presents the concept of building a hydrogen power system for an example passenger rail vehicle. On the basis of the projected energy consumption and the power balance of the vehicle, the power of hydrogen cells and the capacity of energy storage tanks were selected. Traction characteristics were determined and theoretical runs were simulated. The possibility of installing the selected components on a rail vehicle was checked. The obtained data form the basis for developing optimal control algorithms for a rail vehicle with a hydrogen power system.
