Abstract

Nowadays, safety in transport is one of the key factors affecting the quality of transport and the protection of passengers. Therefore, many researchers are looking into the issue of transport safety and finding ways to improve it. In this paper, we focus on the use of the finite element method to address the elastoplastic material behavior in the structural elements of vehicles. Our main objective is to implement basic element types in nonlinear analysis, such as members, tetrahedrons, and triangles, and to use the velocity formulation to solve the equations of state for the extended Karray-Bouc-Wen and Prandtl-Reuss models. We will solve the whole problem using Matlab software and we believe that our results will contribute to better optimization and safety of the vehicles. Our work aims to contribute to the development of more reliable and safer means of transport, which will have a positive impact on the quality of transport and the protection of passengers. Our work is therefore an important step in preventing accidents and improving road safety.
