Abstract
People are demanded to perform many activities at work, in the family, and in society in today´s hectic times. Many people consider rest as a human weakness and are constantly convinced that it is essential to fully enjoy life and use the most of the offered opportunities to full capacity. On the contrary, group of many people is aware of the harmfulness of aforementioned lifestyle. Therefore, the paper under consideration is a continuation of research in the field of the design of handling equipment operating in the amusement industry as an option where whole families can seek amusement and respite from everyday worries and responsibilities in synergy with mental hygiene. Thus, the main objective of the research is the structural design of an amusement device with a variable tilt of the raise during spin. Passengers are seated in gondolas around the circumference of a wheel spun by means of an electric motor. This wheel is made up of trusses supporting the gondolas and it reaches 14 rpm at full speed. The gondolas are supported on rolling bearings. Moreover, gondolas occupied by passengers are tilted under the influence of centrifugal force. Bearing housings are fixed on the primary load-bearing part of gondola, into which threaded rods fixed to the truss are slid. This structure is coupled in a wheel hub where the main component is an oversized hollow shaft. Thus, a subject of the present paper is the analytical check of that component.
