Abstract
The purpose of this work is to determine the impact of changes in the geometry parameters of the percussion kick mechanism on the characteristics of its work. In the paper, the adjustment of the cam radius length was considered, which determines the value of the force that should be applied to set the percussion kick mechanism in motion. This is an important issue from the design point of view, because it gives the possibility of designing the required geometry of the kick drum cam for its subsequent operation. It is necessary to verify this by building a prototype, which was also presented in the paper. In order to be able to determine the prevailing forces in given nodes, the equation of the dynamics of the movement of the mechanism was derived using the Lagrange analytical method. In this way, the characteristics of changes in the control settings of the percussion kick mechanism were obtained as a function of the values of the minimum forces needed to activate the mechanism.
