This paper presents selected results of modifications of geometric features of a blown film extrusion die and the effects of these modifications on the process of polymers flow in the work space during extrusion. The extrusion head is a crucial component of the extrusion unit for blown film production.

Therefore, proper selection of constructional features, thanks to the implementation of computer-aided design methods, guarantees obtaining high quality geometric features of the produced film, while maintaining its operational parameters. SolidWorks application with FlowSimulation add-in was used for the study.
