Designing drives is a creative mental activity. Using various special software tools and work methodologies, it is possible to significantly influence the overall performance of the designer. The article describes the possibility of efficient construction of gears using a special tool "Design Accelerator" of Autodesk Inventor Professional. This tool has been specially developed for the construction of various types of gears. The workflow and possible outputs of the proposed solution are indicated on the example of a simple gearbox design.
