Abstract
This scientific article deals with the issue of modeling a production system based on CNC technology using simulation tools. The main goal of the work is to create a virtual model of a CNC production cell, which allows for the comparison of different variants of its functioning. Two basic versions of the model were created as part of the research. The first version represents a classic production cell with a human operator who handles workpieces and operates CNC machines. The second version is automated and uses a robotic manipulator instead of a human, which makes the production process more efficient and potentially reduces errors caused by the human factor. This robotic model was subsequently modified to reduce the number of CNC consoles, which represents another level of system optimization. All created models were subjected to simulations and the data obtained were processed, evaluated and compared with each other in order to identify the advantages and disadvantages of individual solutions.
