Abstract

This paper presents the concept and preliminary analysis of the development of a hybrid executive system intended for application in welding processes. The proposed solution combines the advantages of mechanical cam mechanisms with electronic motion profiles, enabling trajectory correction and improving process repeatability. The study discusses the limitations of typical welding manipulators, highlighting the high implementation costs and limited economic viability in mass production of components with uncomplicated geometries. The possibilities of integrating cam mechanisms with widely used industrial automation components are also analyzed, showing significant potential for reducing investment and operating costs. In the latter part of the paper, research directions are proposed, including motion trajectory modeling, cost analysis, the implementation of predictive maintenance systems, and the optimization of cam mechanism design.
