The paper offers an analysis of the implementation in the field of virtual and augmented reality in the production environment of manufacturing enterprises from their beginnings to the present in the context of Industry 4.0 standards. Next, the practical possibilities of applying technology within the company in the design and creation of new production premises are presented. The goal is to practically show the possibilities of using the means of augmented reality in connection with specific hardware equipment, which helps in more agile management and functioning of a modern production company. Thanks to the combination of technologies such as the Internet of Things and augmented reality, the user gets a powerful tool for operation design, real-time monitoring, quick interaction during auditing and presentation of production processes.
