Abstract


The article presents the concept of a zero-emission powertrain for rail vehicles using batteries as an energy source. A method for determining the parameters of the new powertrain using the determined traction characteristics is presented. Simulations of theoretical runs for an example rail vehicle have been carried out. The basic control principles of the zero-emission vehicle power system are also presented. The selection of components takes into account the peculiarities of mainteneace rail vehicles.
