Abstract
This paper aims to summarize and describe the requirements for the feasibility of a plastic component. The described requirements will be analyzed using Autodesk Moldflow software. By simulating the melt behaviour of a specific product, the results will be evaluated and then an optimal solution will be proposed for the mould design and real processing by injection moulding technology. Using the Autodesk Moldflow simulation program, possible scenarios and the evolution of the polymer behaviour in the mould will be addressed, both during transport and solidification of the melt, as well as the optimization of possible deformations of the moulded part after demoulding. The selection of a suitable injection point will influence the injection conditions. By this modification, the melt contact point will be shifted to a more solid region. The injection time will also be affected, which will be reduced. The injection pressure will also be reduced. The expected moulding deformation will also be significantly reduced.
