Abstract
Most potato planters are devices that perform only one agrotechnical process. On the other hand, on the Polish and European market of agricultural machinery, there is a demand for planters that simultaneously plant and dress potatoes. When analyzing scientific publications, the benefits of the treatment procedure can be observed. As part of this work, it was undertaken to design a treadmill mounted on a AKPIL planter from Pilzno. Before starting the design process, an analysis of the available solutions of mortar machines was made and on this basis, 3 concepts of design solutions were proposed. These concepts were scored on the basis of the adopted criteria and the one with the highest number of points was selected. For the selected concept, strength simulation calculations using the finite element method (FEM) were performed. The developed mortar design is innovative and pro-ecological compared to other available constructions because it allows 50% less chemical agent.
