Abstract
The development and production of new modern materials are important parts in the research. Nowadays, very important type of materials are magnetic materials, due to their interesting properties. Their rich use is of particular importance for technical practice. These materials cause the revolution in material research and electrical engineering.
Magnetic alloys based on iron are encountered always and everywhere around us, but the shape, in which these alloys are prepared (conventional sheets, thin ribbon prepared by rapid solidification technology, swarfs…), is in many cases not suitable shape for industry applications. One of the ways to prepare bulk material suitable for industrial applications is the compaction of powder, which can be produced by the mechanical milling or mechanical alloying of thin ribbon, mixture of powders, sheets or others pre-cursor.
The aim of this work is to investigate the structure and properties of iron based alloys prepared by the mechanical milling and subsequently by the compaction of the milled powder.
