This paper presents a methodology for investigating the grinding of dry corn stalks. The results obtained during the shredding process were used as a guideline to determine the operating and design parameters and then to determine the range of their variation. The result of the work was the determination of a number of parameters, thanks to which the shredding process is characterised by higher efficiency and higher quality of the shredded product. Computer-aided design tools were used for the overall assessment.
