Technology of Porous Ammonium Nitrate Obtaining: Modeling of Drying Machines’ Operational Regimes

Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of the technological basics of the granules of porous ammonium nitrate (PAN) final drying process in multistage gravitational shelf dryers. The data on the optimal technological modes of operation of the dryer were obtaining. PAS samples were studied; the regularity of the change in the porous structure of the granule depending on the hydrodynamic and thermodynamic conditions of the dryer was established. New designs of shelf dryers with improved flow dynamics are proposed. Theoretical and experimental data obtained during the research will be used to create a methodology for the engineering calculation of gravity shelf dryers. Also, the data about the optimal operating conditions of the drying machines at the stage of final drying will be used to improve the technology for the formation of porous granules from ordinary ammonium nitrate.
